Chapter 37 - Change in Personality
**POV: Autumn (MC)**
Finally, I've wrapped up visiting all the major creations I’ve made.
Now, you might be asking, “Why haven’t you dropped by Demon King Baal and his wife, Gremory?”
Honestly? I’m not really up for it. I’ve already taken up enough of your time visiting everyone else, and I’m getting bored. Sure, I’ve been all mysterious and wise, but I’m craving some real unpredictability now.
Maybe I’ll swing by and check on them, but it’ll be a quick visit. I seriously doubt they’ll add any interesting twists to the mix.
----Time Skip, ~10 minutes----
Well, no big surprises there.
Baal was pretty dramatic, much like Diablo but without the religious zealotry. Gremory? She was emotionless and spoke in a monotone, like she was completely numb to everything. Can’t really blame her, though. She’s been battling the gods for, what, the past 400,000 years? That kind of conflict would definitely drain anyone's emotions.
Still, I’m feeling a bit of regret. I wish I could’ve witnessed those wars—seen the chaos and heard the cries. It’s a strange sensation for me, especially since I wouldn’t normally be interested in such brutal things.
Maybe it’s something from that ancient book of the old universe? I only skimmed the first couple of pages before, which was kind of dumb. On one hand, it’s a waste, but on the other, it’s probably better to figure things out myself and experiment along the way.
Alright, let’s summon that book and take another look.
With a thought, the book appears in my hands. It’s made from a black material that feels like leather, but not quite. The texture is oddly delicate.
I flip through the pages, which cover various topics I’ll need to dive into later. For now, I’m focused on understanding this shift in my personality.
The first few pages mentioned that I’d lose true emotions, but it didn’t say much about personality changes. Losing emotions is a form of personality change, right? But I shouldn’t be becoming more violent—I’ve always detested that, haven’t I?
**Page 19: Personality**
Maybe you’re noticing a shift in your personality or preferences?
If so, you’re in the right place...and the right book!
Let’s get to it. A change in your personality might have occurred due to some mistakes on my part when I passed my power and role as the universe to you. The extent of this change is hard to pin down because, sadly, I’m not all-knowing.
My power at its peak was equivalent to yours at your “birth.” As you grow stronger, this might help mitigate the personality shift. Eventually, you might even gain the ability to time travel, foresee the future, or achieve other god-like feats I never could.
However, personality change isn’t something this book or I can directly address. To restore your old self, you’ll need to become powerful enough to travel back in time and copy your previous personality. This could potentially restore your old self, though it’s risky and not without possible drawbacks.
For now, I wouldn’t suggest this method unless the personality change is so severe that it feels like a complete 180... pun intended.
Remember, I’m not all-knowing!
What...the...heck?
