Chapter 26 - Sleep

Since I’ve wrapped up all the basic stuff that a universe needs—at least, I hope it’s enough—I think it's time for a little nap. Even as the universe, I’m surprisingly tired. Who knew?

I stared at the age listed and couldn’t believe it. Three hundred thousand years? That’s like being an ancient relic. It’s shocking to think how quickly time flew by.

Three hundred thousand years would feel like about five hours to me, but it seems like only a few minutes have passed. Maybe it’s because I’ve been having so much fun?

I guess I’ll have to get used to seeing huge numbers for my age now. After all, I am the universe.

For someone like me, age isn’t exactly a big deal. I’m not really worried about appearances or anything. Back when I was human, those things mattered, but now? Not so much. I can’t even see anything.

It's a little sad how much people judge by looks, but that’s human nature, I suppose.

Anyway, I'm getting off track here. I guess with nothing to do, my mind is wandering to all sorts of random thoughts. Maybe I should just get some sleep.

And yes, I know what you’re thinking: “Why sleep after just five hours?” Well, that’s 300,000 years for me, and I’m feeling pretty beat.

Might as well make the most of my skills, even if it seems a bit indulgent. I plopped down on the bed, and wow. It was like sinking into a cloud. This was way beyond comfy—it was like sleeping on pure bliss.

No, not the naughty kind of bliss, just a really, really good bed.

I closed my heavy eyelids and took a deep breath, feeling all my stress melt away. Soon, I was sound asleep.
