Chapter 23 - Soul Realm

Sometimes, it feels like I could really use a break. I mean, I've been at this for hundreds of thousands of years already. It doesn’t really feel like it, but when I think about how ancient I actually am, I almost feel like one of those super-old grandmas. But honestly, compared to how long I could potentially be around, this is just the beginning.

Immortality can get a bit dull at times. That’s why I keep creating new things—it’s my way of keeping myself entertained. Once I finish with the Realm of Reincarnation, I might just take a few thousand years off. Or maybe I’ll create some entities to manage different areas.

You know, I’ve been toying with the idea of making a Library of Knowledge. Imagine a place that records everything happening in the universe and gathers all sorts of information automatically. It might sound a bit over the top, but it could be fascinating to see what entities discover it and what kind of knowledge they seek.

Alright, enough daydreaming. Let’s get back on track. The Realm of Reincarnation is supposed to be where souls go to reincarnate, so I won’t need too many “soul-residential areas”—yeah, I went with that name. It’s not the most creative, but it gets the job done. I guess someone else might come up with a better name for it later on.

I’m kind of wondering if the Realm of Reincarnation will end up being like a real world, but with only souls inhabiting it. Maybe kingdoms and cities will form from the souls that don’t want to reincarnate. The idea of a world full of souls, with its own developments, is pretty exciting. What if these souls could grow stronger and even get involved in wars? That would be incredibly intriguing.

Anyway, enough with the what-ifs. Let’s get to creating a world just for souls.

Surprisingly, this world is nothing like the real world. It’s lacking in color and feels completely different from the other galaxies, if you can even call it a galaxy. Instead of planets and stars, it’s just one massive piece of land, almost like a giant continent. There’s no sun or moon, but the whole continent is lit up, though I can’t quite see where the light comes from. It feels magical.

As I stepped onto the surface of this land, my feet went right through it, but it felt like my soul was standing on it. It’s a unique sensation, something I’ve never experienced before.

I have to say, I’m really grateful for the system the old Universe set up for me. It seems to understand what I need, even without me having to explain in detail. It’s kind of nostalgic, reminding me of my time on Earth. Back then, everything just seemed to fall into place without much trouble.

But enough reminiscing. It’s time to focus on the present. I need to create some rules and set up the entities that will oversee reincarnation. Once that’s done, I can connect this place to the rest of the universe. And just like that, the Realm of Reincarnation will be up and running.
