Chapter 40: Laying the Foundation
Alright, it’s time to move on to the next big task.
Should I start by creating the Library of Knowledge, or dive into my other plan first?
Well, creating the Library of Knowledge seems like the smarter choice. If I get that set up in time for when the “visitors” start arriving, it’ll be a solid foundation for everything else.
Plus, once the Library is in place, the rest of my plans will naturally fall into line.
Now that’s decided, let me fill you in on that other plan I’ve been mulling over.
I was thinking of crafting some new artifacts—each one identical but designed to scan a person’s soul. If an artifact finds a soul it approves of, it’ll teleport that person to a special trial. Clearing these trials would grant access to parts of the Library of Knowledge.
The idea is that these trials would give people access to knowledge that’s otherwise out of reach.
Sounds pretty good, right?
As the saying goes, “Knowledge is power.”
However, each trial will be unique to the individual, tailored to their soul. If everyone faced the same trial, they could share tips, cheat, and help each other out. I’m not keen on that because it would create unfair advantages.
Only those with connections and resources could exploit the system, leaving those with less behind. And let's be honest—many with wealth often have questionable morals.
That’s not to say all wealthy folks are bad, but the ratio seems skewed. At least, that’s what I’ve picked up from various novels.
So, each trial will be a personal challenge, ensuring fairness and integrity.
In a way, the artifact’s soul scan acts like a filter. Those deemed unworthy won’t be able to access the trials or the Library. Only those who pass the test will gain the rare knowledge—the so-called “Chosen Ones.”
I’m still mulling over which souls should be accepted. They shouldn’t be ruthless or bloodthirsty. Ideally, they should be compassionate yet capable of making tough decisions when needed.
But I’ll figure that out once I start building the Library.

After a few minutes of thought, I’m ready to begin.
**“Use Major Skill: Creation to create the framework of the Library of Knowledge based on my vision and desires.”**
Immediately, a colossal structure materializes before me. If I had to estimate its size, it’s about a thousand times larger than the sun of the Milky Way—maybe even bigger.
Yeah, that might be a bit excessive.
The building looks like it’s made from a mix of white marble and jade, though it’s neither. The material is so incredibly hard that even a punch from my Blessed Body wouldn’t leave a mark. It might even withstand a full-power punch from me, but I’m too impatient to test it right now.
I’m eager to set my plans in motion—especially the trials that the inhabitants of the galaxies will face.
Maybe I should place an artifact in each galaxy?
That way, no one in the Universe gets left out, and things will get more intriguing. Fate will twist and turn, and who knows what kind of unpredictability will unfold?
Maybe something unexpected will happen sooner than I think?
