Chapter 29: Next Visit

Chapters
Approx. 2min reading time

For my next visit, I’m heading over to see God King Rymes. I’ll need to be a bit more cautious this time. I’d rather not get a shock like the one I got from Diablo. Seriously, how can someone be so on edge?

Maybe it’s because I’ve never been in a situation quite like his, but still—attacking before even figuring out who’s showing up? Not that I can blame him. If I were in his shoes, I’d probably be on high alert too. Being at the top of the food chain means you’re always a target. There’s always someone stronger or more skilled out there, just waiting to challenge you.

So, a little tip for you: never get too arrogant. It’s not worth it. Arrogance does more harm than good because it just makes more enemies and ticks off more people than you might think. And don’t get me wrong; a bit of confidence is fine. But don’t be like those fictional martial arts villains or over-the-top protagonists who think they’re invincible. It’s infuriating reading about them, thinking, “Can’t you just get some common sense?”

Sometimes you just want to slap some sense into those characters. It’s like they know what logic is but can’t seem to use it properly. So frustrating!

Not every character is like that, though. Some do have a bit of common sense, which is a relief. And yeah, I know we’re getting a bit off track here, but since I’ve got all the time in the universe, why not let my mind wander a bit?

When you’re alone and your surroundings are quiet, your thoughts can drift to all kinds of places. Forgotten memories, silly thoughts, or even deep, existential questions. Like, what is true nothingness?

Humans can’t really grasp the concept of “nothing.” Maybe if we used more of our brain, we could understand it better, but for now, it’s just too abstract. Think about it: if there was nothing, what would you see? Is there a color to nothingness if it’s the only thing around? What’s it like to experience true nothingness? Does it even exist?

These are delicate topics, and many things are just beyond our grasp. Take life, for example. Why was life created? Is it just a plaything for higher beings or entities watching over galaxies?

And then you wonder: who created those beings? It’s fascinating to ponder these questions, but they often lead to more questions with no real answers. That’s where the frustration kicks in. Not getting the answers you seek is just part of human nature.

Humans can be a real problem for nature. We take and take without giving back, ruining ecosystems and only realizing our mistakes when it’s too late. We damage the environment, and even when we know it’s wrong, some people just keep exploiting nature for profit. It’s sad to see that side of humanity.

Sure, there are people with a conscience who try to make things better, but they’re often overshadowed by the greed-driven majority. And while it’s easy to blame the greedy ones, it’s part of human nature, unfortunately.

Alright, I’ve gone off on enough tangents for now. Time to visit God King Rymes and see how things are going with him.
