Chapter 10: First Chakra Level

I woke up from my cultivation state early in the morning. After refining energy throughout the night, I managed to recharge LILY's battery level to 15%. It seems that my comprehension of the high-level Soul Resonance Cultivation Technique somehow accelerated my refining speed, even though I wasn’t using the technique directly.

After breakfast, I had a talk with my father and informed him of my decision to cultivate the body refining technique.

“Father, can I talk to you for a minute?”

“What is it, Azalon? I’m somewhat busy right now.”

“Father, I’ve decided to start my body refining technique. I want to reach the first level as soon as possible.”

My father looked at me in surprise. It seemed he didn’t expect me to come to a decision so quickly. After a short moment, he nodded his head in appreciation and explained the basics of body refining to me.

“Azalon, you’ve made a good decision. But you have to be careful. Body refining is different from Spirit energy cultivation. Spirit energy acts as a source and medium for the execution of techniques. But body refining is different in that we use Spirit energy to stimulate various organs and temper the body directly.

“The path of body refining is filled with pain and hard work. You have to expend your blood, sweat, and tears to reach the higher realms using body refining techniques. That’s why this path is not something that can be walked with a weak heart. You have to have unyielding willpower and determination. Only with those can you walk forward on this path. “Yes, Father. I understand. I’ve made my resolve. That’s why I came to inform you. I won’t leave my room until I reach the first stage of the body refining technique the Head Elder gave me.”

He looked deeply into my eyes, as if challenging my resolve. I didn’t shrink from his challenge and resolutely returned his gaze. He seemed satisfied with whatever he saw in me and slowly nodded his head.

“But there is a condition, Azalon. Only then will I accept your request.”

“What is it, Father?”

According to the script, the First Chakra is located where the tailbone meets the pelvis—in other words, at the very end of the spinal cord. On Earth, I once had a fleeting interest in biology and studied various anatomies in detail, especially human anatomy. That’s why, even though the description in the script was vague, I somehow managed to locate the focal point of the Chakra on my body. This confirmed that my greatest advantage and weapon is the knowledge I gained in my previous life. I just have to find ways to apply that knowledge in this world.

The instructions in the script were to continuously bombard the gateway of the Chakra until it breaks. Once the gateway breaks, the first part, ‘Opening,’ is completed. Then, the life energy in the Chakra can be stimulated by using Spirit energy. After that, it’s a matter of patiently guiding that mixture of energy to the corresponding organs for continuous refining and strengthening.

I controlled the energy in my body to form continuous waves to break the gateway. My mind was completely filled with the roaring sounds produced by the energy waves as they moved toward the Chakra. The first wave reached the Chakra Point, and the first clash happened. Immediately, pain spread through my entire body. My nerves overloaded with the sensation, and my body felt as if it were on fire. Sweat rolled down as I gritted my teeth tightly and willed the second wave to clash with the gateway.

After what felt like a lifetime, the final wave violently bombarded the gateway.

Violent crashing sounds resounded within my body, and then a feeling of comfort spread throughout my body from the base of my spinal cord. With this, I had reached the first part, ‘Opening,’ of the First Chakra. I didn’t know it at the time, but almost a day had passed since I began. Usually, it takes 2-3 days to reach this stage, but I achieved it in just one day. If I had known that, I would have concluded that my special physique was the reason, as it can hold more energy than normal. This excess energy shortened the time needed to break through.

The cool stream of energy passed through my entire body, which had been battered by pain. It was refreshing, and my body felt recovered from the backlashes of the energy crashes. The stream revolved around my body once before returning to the Chakra. The only way to stimulate that energy again is by using Spirit energy.

Since I was short on time, I immediately channeled Spirit energy to clear all the paths by continuously revolving the energy within the Chakra. As the energy completed each revolution, I guided it to mix with the life energy in the Chakra. The next revolution used this mixture of energies. The process repeated itself until both energies were completely fused together. Only then could I advance to the ‘Channeling’ part.

The monotonous work of activating the First Chakra continued for four days before all the paths were opened and both energies were fully fused together. It took me five full days to achieve the second part, ‘Channeling,’ of the First Chakra. With this, I could now advance to the somewhat easier but time-consuming third part. The energy felt alive as it moved toward the Focal Point. As the energy reached the point, something changed. A pain, more concentrated than what I had felt during the ‘Opening’ of the Chakra, assaulted my nerves. It happened so suddenly and with such magnitude that I couldn’t prepare myself. As a result, I blacked out in response to the overwhelming pain surging through my body.

What I didn’t know about the technique was that it was an ancient one, developed on the concept of baptism through pain. The technique was originally designed to destroy and rebuild the body on a cellular level. However, that proved to be an impossible task, as the human body contains hundreds of varieties of cells, with each variety containing millions of individual cells. After extensive research, an expert developed the Chakra system. The Chakra system divides the refining process into various stages, each corresponding to different kinds of cells.

As I lay unconscious, my body underwent the same reconstruction on a cellular level, albeit only on certain types of cells and organs. My skin, tendons, and ligaments were being destroyed and repaired on a cellular level by the energy mixture from the Chakra. This process repeated itself until the cells adapted to the energy stimulation.

Generally, this process takes a long time since the human body is naturally capable of evolution. However, the cultivator must endure the mind-numbing pain of the cells being destroyed and rebuilt. But my body was unique. It adapted within an hour.

The newly formed skin, tendons, and ligaments began absorbing energy like bottomless wells, continuously refining themselves. My skin became more tender and smoother than a newborn's, yet it was tough enough to shrug off damage to a certain extent. My tendons and ligaments became flexible and strong, perfectly coordinated with my skin. My body felt brimming with power. I knew I needed to take a physical examination to test the results of the refinement.

As I was observing the changes in my body, a warm feeling suddenly appeared at the focal point of the Root Chakra. It was the sign that the Root Chakra symbol was imprinting. If one could see the symbol, they would see a red flower with four petals slowly opening at the Focal Point of the Chakra. Once the flower fully blossomed, it flashed once and became a tattoo-like imprint on my body at the Chakra point.

With this, I had completed the activation of the Root Chakra in my body. Now I could finally start cultivating the Soul Resonance Technique. But before that, I needed to rest to give my body and mind some time to adapt to the changes. The Soul Resonance Technique also involved a process of pain, comparable to what I had just gone through.
