Chapter 29: Yuuta’s School Day (3)
Yuuta’s School Day (3)
The final School Day before graduation on the last day of March took place on the 28th. Yuuta attended it cheerfully. Just the thought that he’d be able to meet Aoi and the others boosted his spirits, making him so happy that he had trouble reining himself in.
Wishing to see Aoi’s bashful smile as quickly as possible, his pace naturally sped up.
Once he arrived in front of his classroom, he quickly took a look around himself. No one was around.
She mentioned that she had waited for me to enter my classroom the last time, but…
He stepped inside the room while wondering whether Aoi and her followers were watching from somewhere. But, the classroom was empty as well. Then again, it was forbidden for the girls to enter a boy’s classroom before he had gone in.
However, just when he sat down on the chair in the middle of the classroom, thinking that he’d simply wait for Aoi and her friends to visit him, he heard a “Yuuta-sama♪”, followed by the door being immediately opened and Aoi striding in with a smile blossoming on her face.
Just like last time, she was enveloped by an aura of neat and primness today as well. Her school uniform didn’t show the slightest blemish.
Looking awfully happy, Aoi briskly walked up to Yuuta’s chair and sat down on a nearby chair in a way that suggested she was actually encamping him.
“Good morning♪”
“Good morning to you as well, Aoi-san. I’m happy to see you again.”
“So am I! I am very happy♪”
Yuuta became head over heels, seeing Aoi not even trying to hide her affection. The aura and atmosphere enveloping her suggested dignity and trimness in all aspects, but the smile she showed Yuuta was full of tenderness and sweetness, filled with a bewitching charm.
Yuuta should be overjoyed having such a wonderful smile directed at him, but something similar to an unsightly discomfort reared its head deep inside his heart.
What is it? …Ah, jealousy, huh? I’m envious. The idea that someone else might have seen Aoi-san smile like that during the two years of my absence…
The only boy Aoi had shown that smile thus far was Yuuta, but of course he had no way of knowing this. Her distance as she sat next to Yuuta was clearly small.
Too close. Isn’t she as close as during our car trip the other day…?

Aoi’s chest was already pressing against Yuuta’s arm, and her thigh was pushing against Yuuta’s knee.
Just the thought of someone possibly seeing this right now caused a strong desire in Yuuta to hug Aoi to not allow her to leave. Reflexively, his body started to move on its own.
But then, Manami and Moe entered the classroom.
“Excuse us.”
Yuuta’s body jumped with a start, and he immediately corrected his sitting posture. Aoi, on the other hand, remained glued to Yuuta with a broad smile plastered all over her face.
“It is a pleasure to meet you again, Yuuta-sama.”
“G-Good morning, Yuuta-sama.”
“Morning, Manami-san, Moe-san.”
After greeting Yuuta, Manami’s eyes wandered to Aoi.
“Good grief…Aoi-sama.” Thanks for reading on ManaNovel!
“What is it, Manami-san?”
“Please give Yuuta-sama some space.”
“No way!”
“Yuuta-sama is going to hate you if you…act so improperly and rudely towards him.”
“Nope, that’s absolutely not true!”
“Err, umm, Manami-san, I don’t particularly mind.”
Manami shifted her eyes from Aoi to Yuuta. It was a slightly fed-up look, one you wouldn’t usually expect her to point at a man.
“Yuuta-sama.”
“Y-Yes, what is it?”
“You are pampering Aoi-sama too much. I am very delighted to see you two being so intimate with each other, but Aoi-sama is exploiting your kindness, Yuuta-sama.”
“Eh?”
“Sheesh, you don’t have to put it like that, Manami-san!”
“A woman rubbing her thigh against a man’s knee, and moreover, pressing her chest…”
“Ah! N-No, that is!!”
“Huuumph, Yuuta-sama definitely enjoys it!”
“W-Wai-Wait…” Moe became flustered by the exchange between the other three.
Yuuta who had accepted the Sick Visit Service for her grandmother, Aoi who was the next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwara, and Manami who was a high family daughter, Aoi’s half-sister and childhood friend; watching these three converse, Moe felt like she was about to black out as she wondered why she was in a place like this.
She was deeply grateful towards Aoi for giving her the chance to express her thanks to Yuuta once more.
But.
Moe hadn’t asked to attend today’s School Day. Yet, this morning, Aoi’s car had stopped in front of Moe’s home for some reason as if it was only natural. Of course, Moe hadn’t prepared for this at all, but seeing Aoi walk back to the car after telling her that she’d wait for her to get ready, Moe had fixed herself up within three minutes and rushed out.
Because Moe managed to pretty herself up with some make-up after they arrived at Toukyou’s junior zone school, she was able to appear in front of Yuuta right now. Moe felt deeply thankful that the girl’s powder room in the junior zone school came equipped with all sorts of cosmetics.
“You should be grateful that Yuuta-sama is delighted by this.”
“Of course♪ Yuuta-sama, thank you very much♪”
“Sure…”
“Okay, and now tell me why you obediently listen to that part alone?”
“That is because I wish to always feel grateful towards Yuuta-sama.”
“Sheesh… Yuuta-sama, thank you for putting up with Aoi-sama’s unreasonable antics.”
“Umm…I’m also happy,” Yuuta said with a smile after taking a look at Aoi who didn’t show any signs of trying to get away from him.
Due to his remark and smile, Aoi’s smile became even broader, and she faced Manami with a triumphant look.
“Hehe♪ Did you hear, Manami-san!?”
“What’s with that hehe? Aww, sheesh…how enviable.”
“Eh?”
“Whaaaat♪, so you wanted to cling to him as well, didn’t you Manami-san♪?”
“Rather, do you believe any woman would dislike the idea of clinging to Yuuta-sama?”
“If such a woman truly exists, I would consider her a very pitiful creature. For not understanding Yuuta-sama’s extensive kindness.”
“Ahahaha…”
It was still only their third meeting since their meeting during the previous School Day. Or the fourth time if you included the introduction to Yuuta-kun during the first term. As such, there was no way he wouldn’t be happy about having Aoi and Manami face him with such blunt and outspoken affection, but Yuuta couldn’t understand why they harbored such strong feelings about him.
The next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwara. Nobility amidst the high families. These descriptions, which were following Aoi around wherever she went, started to trigger a certain degree of wariness within Yuuta.
So far only two months had passed since he woke up in this world, but he guessed this caution came from his values which he had learned during that short period of time, or maybe Yuuta-kun, who was hidden deep inside him, was feeling so.
…But.
He could also feel that it’d be best to frankly accept Aoi and Manami’s affections.
Those two contradicting emotions existed inside him, but Yuuta also believed that it’d be okay for both to coexist without conflict.
“Manami-san, how about you sit down next to Yuuta-sama as well? Right, Yuuta-sama♪?”
“Eh? Oh, right…as long as Manami-san is fine with it.”
“Please excuse me then.”
Manami’s movements were quick. Yuuta ended up yelping in astonishment as he hadn’t expected the swiftness of her movements. Her motions were reminiscent of a skilled martial artist.
“A-A-Ahh…”
“Hihihi♪”
“What a magnificent sensation.”
Being stuck between two beauties, Yuuta’s consciousness went out of the window due to an overdose of happiness.
Seeing Aoi and Manami gleefully pushing their bodies against Yuuta, Moe asked herself, …What does this mean?
She couldn’t quite get a read on the whole situation in front of her.
══• ⚠ •══
“Now then, we have something important to discuss, Aoi-sama.”
“Oh! You are right. Sorry, I got totally absorbed in the wonderful feeling of Yuuta-sama’s touch.”
Apparently having absorbed more than enough Yuuta-power, she finally put on a serious expression and faced Yuuta properly.
“Yuuta-sama.”
“Yes?”
“Would you be so kind as to approve of me becoming a direct affiliate of your high school class?”
“!!!” Yuuta ended up at a loss for words out of sheer joy. “I-I should be the one asking you! I’ve been thinking all the time…how nice it would be if you became my direct affiliate.”
“Aww♪ That makes me very happy!”
“That is great news, right Aoi-sama?”
“C-Congratulations!”
Manami and Moe blessed Aoi having been accepted as Yuuta’s direct affiliate.
Without hiding her joy, Aoi further said to Yuuta with a smile, “Thank you kindly for accepting me as your direct affiliate. I am well aware of my own inexperience, but I shall exert my utmost effort to turn your three high school years into a wonderful time, Yuuta-sama.”
“Please take care of me.”
“You are so gentle, Yuuta-sama♪ Umm…I do have another request, if possible.”
“Sure, what is it? Please tell me without any hesitation.”
“Could you please approve of Manami-san and Moe-san becoming your indirect affiliates? Of course, I am the one recommending them.”
“Eeeeehhh!!!!?!!??”
A shout similar to a shriek echoed throughout the room. The source was Moe. Her face looked anything but what a lady should show.
“W-W-W-What d-d-do you m-m-m-m-mean by that…?”
“Oh my? Didn’t I tell you?”
“Aoi-sama…you probably forgot to talk to Moe-san about this.”
“Hmm…I picked you up this morning…and then we talked about it inside the car…or maybe not?”
Manami sighed deeply, “…It would have been better if I had come with you. It was my mistake to have taken a separate car, thinking that getting into one car with three people would be too cramped.”
“Manami-san, I came up with a wonderful plan! Let us inform Moe-san right now and here!”
“I guess we have no choice but to handle it like that.”
Aoi declared to Moe with a smile, “Moe-san, how about you join Yuuta-sama’s class as well? I’m going to recommend you.”
“U-Umm, Someone like me…I-I mean…”
“Oh? Why would you think so? I am convinced that Yuuta-sama would gladly approve of you, seeing how you are a deeply compassionate girl who cares so tenderly about her own grandmother.”
Yuuta was silent, staying out of this. He believed that it’d turn into him forcing Moe, if he were to say something at this point.
The one calling out to Moe, who didn’t know what to do, next was Manami.
“What are your feelings on this, Moe-san? I know it has developed into this situation because Aoi-sama failed to properly talk with you about it in advance, but if you have another class you wish to apply to, it would naturally be completely understandable for you to turn down the offer here.”
“I don’t have any other class! If I can become affiliated to Yuuta-sama’as class…I-I would love to do so!”
“Oh my♪ Then it’s set, I’d say. What do you think, Yuuta-sama? Manami-san and Moe-san are wonderful girls. I would be more than delighted if you could accept them as indirect affiliates.”
“Of course. I’d be overjoyed if those two were to become affiliated to my class.”
Upon Yuuta’s response, Manami, who had been clinging to him just like Aoi before, suddenly stood up. Pinching the hem of her skirt, she performed a lovely curtsy.
“Thank you very much for kindly accepting me to join your class, Yuuta-sama. I shall do my utmost to support you over the coming three years at high school together with Aoi-sama.”
“Gladly, Manami-san. Best regards.”
Originally Aoi should have made such a formal pledge as well, but only now did she realize that she had given her thanks while still stuck to Yuuta. She did consider whether she should separate from Yuuta and conduct herself in the same way as Manami, but she hated the idea of being apart from him, and thus decided to remain where she was.
“U-Umm, thank you very much! I had not anticipated that you would allow a common citizen like me to become indirectly affiliated to you…”
“Best regards to you as well, Moe-san. While it may be true that you’re a common citizen, it’s nothing you need to worry about. I’d be delighted if we could get along well in the future.”
“Y-Yes! Ah, what unbelievable fortune…if mother and grandma hear about this, I am sure they will cry out of joy.”
“Come to think of it, how has your grandmother been doing ever since then?”
“Oh! After receiving Yuuta-sama’s sick visit, my grandmother was able to make up her mind on getting operated on once more!”
“That’s wonderful! I’d be more than happy if the news of you becoming affiliated to my class could cheer up your grandmother.”
“It definitely will! It is the best piece of news I could tell her! She has been saying that she is going to watch your stream again as soon as she becomes healthy, Yuuta-sama!”
At that point, Aoi asked Yuuta while kind of behaving like a spoiled child, “Yuuta-sama, you are going to stream again in the future? I will definitely watch it!”
“Yes. It’ll have to wait until I enroll at high school, but I definitely plan to stream again. I also intend to do streams as Services. Also, normal streams, although those will be paid.”
Yuuta planned to not only do the Underground Service Streams, which were being prepared by Ayaka, but also streams for his regular Service Activities and normal, paid streams. Basically this was following his will to actively keep doing Services in order to continue raising his Male Rank even after entering high school.
Right now, Yuuta was an E-Rank.
For the sake of Aoi, who was showering him with her affection so openly, Yuuta intended to pull all registers to become D-Rank in the ranking exam at the end of his first term during his first year at high school. Or to be more precise, his goal was to become a D-Rank before the cultural festival taking place in November of his first high school year.
He would be gifting Aoi with a dress and confessing to her during the evening party held during that festival. And although Aoi was acting like she would become his girlfriend right away even if he confessed to her now and here, it’d be better for him to keep deepening their relationship by following the proper steps, according to what he had heard from Tomoe.
Aoi was the next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwara. So, even if she herself might be fine with it either way, that didn’t necessarily apply to her surroundings. As such, Yuuta would have to ponder what he should do for Aoi.
The four continued talking with each other while imagining all the various fun events they’d enjoy after entering high school. The clock had just hit 9 a.m. when Yuuta had entered his classroom. But by now, the clock was relentlessly closing in on 11 a.m.
And even though they had talked for close to two hours straight by now, the conversation between the four showed no sign of waning.
However.
Right at that moment, it became noisy outside Yuuta’s classroom. Wondering what was going on, the four turned their eyes towards the door.
Among them, Manami had put on a grim expression.
And then the door slammed open.
“Yooo! Coming in!”
The one entering Yuuta’s classroom was Takuya. Seeing the four sitting in the center, Takuya revealed a faint smile, clearly displaying a condescending attitude.
Under normal circumstances, Takuya shouldn’t have any business in attending the final School Day before the graduation ceremony, assessed Manami right away. After all, he’s supposed to have made a promise with Yukishiro, the next matriarch of the Eternal Minato, for her to become his direct affiliate. With Yukishiro on his side, he can entirely outsource the class creation to her. As such, he has no reason or need to attend this school anymore.
“Ahahaha! Man, this is just too hilarious! I sure hadn’t expected for the girl, who might become the next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwara, to make eyes at some shut-in F-Rank trash!”
As long as a man didn’t actively investigate, he wouldn’t really hear about other men’s change in rank. Just like the E-Rank guys who had ridiculed Yuuta in the dining hall the other day, Takuya didn’t know about Yuuta now being an E-Rank.
“Do you have some sort of business with me, Takuya-kun?”
“Haah? Did you scum prattle some shit to me just now? Or am I just hearing things?”
Takuya usually didn’t exhibit such a belligerent and vicious attitude towards other male students. And especially not to those guys who were surrounding him as his followers. Even if he called them lap dogs behind their backs, he wasn’t that much of an idiot to publicly insult his goons.
But, things were different when it came to Yuuta alone. Yuuta had clearly become a target for bullying by the boys and girls alike after he had started to refuse doing Service Activities and secluded him back home.
Takuya had personally kicked Yuuta from the common chatroom used by everyone.
Because of these circumstances, Takuya had begun to believe that he had all right to publicly insult and scorn Yuuta, who was regarded as shut-in trash by his classmates, without having to worry about any repercussions.
Neither Aoi, nor Manami, nor the trembling Moe said anything. It’d be a breach of manners for women to arbitrarily butt into a conversation between men.
“Hey, Aoi. I don’t mind you becoming my direct affiliate, you know?”
“…”
“I don’t flatter men easily, was it? You’ve kept that attitude for three years now. In the end, you didn’t associate with anyone, right? Yuuji took Yuuko as his direct affiliate. At this point, there’s no elite left who would accept you as their direct affiliate, got it?”
“…”
Aoi remained silent without answering in any way.
“That’s why I’ll be a kind guy, take you as a direct affiliate, and keep you nicely. I mean, the next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwara flirting with some F-Rank trash is just too pitiful to watch.”
“Shut up.”
“Hah?”
Yuuta’s voice rumbled through the room. It carried a tone no one had heard from him so far. It was brimming with a seething fury he had never unleashed since waking up in this world.
Aoi and her two friends got surprised by it. And even Yuuta himself was surprised by his own voice as he hadn’t expected that he was able to produce that sort of voice.
“Come again? Trash, did you say something just now?”
“I told you to shut up. Who gave you permission to arbitrarily use your trap inside my classroom?”
“Hooh. Say…did you finally go bonkers, fucker?”
Takuya hadn’t anticipated even in his wildest dreams that Yuuta would interrupt him, let alone telling him to shut up. Right now he was so pissed that the veins on his forehead looked like they could pop any moment.
However, Yuuta didn’t fall behind in this regard either. He wasn’t that much of a scum that he would silently watch another guy make passes at the woman he loved in front of his eyes.
“Aoi-san is my direct affiliate. And I also don’t recall having given you any permission to enter my classroom.”
“You bastard…”
“Could you hurry up and get lost? You’re a nuisance.”
“YOU PIECE OF SHIIIIITT!!”
Finally snapping, Takuya headed straight for Yuuta, his fists clenched.
And at that very moment, Aoi and Manami, who had remained silent until then, made their move.
“Stop!!!”
This time it was Aoi’s powerful voice that reverberated throughout the classroom. Both girls had stepped in front of Yuuta and were now grasping rods similar to conductor batons in their hands──without Yuuta knowing where those came from. They were pointing those batons at Takuya who had been in the middle of charging at Yuuta.
Faint flashes of lights could be seen flickering at the tips of those batons.
Electricity.
“In accordance with Male Protection Law Paragraph 5 Clause 3, we will use electric batons to protect Yuuta-sama. In case you come any closer, we will be forced to use our batons on you, Takuya-sama,” Manami warned Takuya.
The women of this world were forbidden to injure men. But, what about situations where men would hurt each other?
Women were granted permission to use electric batons against the opposing man for the sake of the man they ought to protect. A hit by an electric baton wouldn’t be fatal. It’d merely stun the target temporarily.
In case a man suffered some lasting effects from electric batons being used against him, a trial would be held to determine culpability depending on the situation in which the batons had been used. If, for example, the current situation would be taken to court, all fault would very likely be placed on Takuya.
“You bitches…don’t fuck with me!”
As might be expected, even Takuya had no choice but to stop with those batons pointed at him. With his clenched fist having lost their target, his face became bright red.
“You…you trash can just play house for all I care!”
Opening the door of the classroom with a kick, Takyua left.
Having experienced something akin to a tempest in front of her, Moe was on the verge of fainting. While vacantly thinking something silly as, Haven’t I been recently rather often about to faint?
“Yuuta-sama♪”
“Things ending without you getting injured matters above all.”
Aoi had leaped onto Yuuta after returning the electric baton into the garter ring inside her skirt. Now she was tightly hugging him, unable to bear her overflowing joy over him having stood up for her.
“Both of you, thanks. That was quite a surprise. I hadn’t expected for Takuya-kun to show up.”
“I did not predict this to happen either…,” Manami admitted and looked towards the female students who were peering at them through the open door.
Those girls, whose expressions looked apologetic, had been deployed by Manami to not allow other girls to approach the classroom while Aoi was inside, just like last time. With Takuya being the one who had shown up, those girls had no way to stop him from entering.
Manami gently smiled at them, signaling with her eyes that they didn’t need to mind it.
“Yuuta-sama, you should contact your caseworker right away. Are you going to finish today’s exchange and go back home?”
“Ah, no…hmm, what should I do?
“If you get in contact with your caseworker, she will immediately send bodyguards your way. Personally I do not think that Takuya-sama will visit this classroom once more today. But, if you are worried, I think it would be the safest approach to go back home. However, if you are going to continue, I would recommend that you take your lunch in your classroom.”
“You’re right… For the time being, I’ll contact Ayaka-san…I’d like to continue the School Day.”
Yuuta got in touch with Ayaka. And just as Manami had said, Ayaka told him that she’d immediately send bodyguard over.
“It sounds like the bodyguards are on their way.”
“Would it be alright for us to stay by your side until those bodyguards arrive? Usually it is about time for us to yield the opportunity to talk with you to other girls.”
“Please stay with me by all means.”
“Okay♪”
After leaving all the explanations to Manami, Aoi only took over when it came to happily answering that they’d be staying with Yuuta.
It took less than five minutes for the bodyguards to arrive. They exchanged a simple greeting with Yuuta, told him that he could continue his exchanges with a peace of mind since they would stand guard outside his classroom, and left the room.
“Very well, we shall excuse ourselves at this point then.”
“Uuhh…”
“Aoi-sama, you got permission from Yuuta-sama to participate in his graduation ceremony, didn’t you?”
“Yeees. Yuuta-sama♪ I will be looking forward to the chance to meet you on the day of your graduation♪”
“I’m happy to hear that. I’m looking forward to it as well.”
Aoi, Manami, and Moe left Yuuta’s classroom.
Once Manami was outside, she told the female students on standby, “Aoi-sama has been accepted as Yuuta-sama’s direct affiliate. I have already obtained permission to become his indirect affiliate. You girls, work hard to have worthwhile exchanges with Yuuta-sama so that you will also be accepted by him as indirect affiliates once he enrolls at high school.”
“”””Yes!””””
The four girls answering Manami belonged to high families which were under the Eternal Yoshiwara’s umbrella. 1
And the pairs of girls, which each of those four girls had brought with them, were likewise women of high families with close connection to the Yoshiwaras.
Those twelve girls had made sure that no other female student would approach Yuuta’s classroom. At the same time, those twelve were the very same girls who had entered Yuuta’s classroom right after Aoi, Manami, and Moe had left during Yuuta’s previous School Day.
Now that Aoi’s group was gone, the twelve girls surrounded Yuuta and enjoyed some wonderful time with him just like previously. Because the bodyguards were standing watch outside, nothing disturbed the progress of their chatting.
After he finished eating lunch at his classroom, the twelve girls visited him once more because the limited time they had in the morning wasn’t sufficient. As Yuuta was having a fun exchange with those gorgeous young ladies, Akari visited his classroom by herself.
Yuuta clearly refused to accept her as his direct affiliate like Yukishiro had recommended last time.
“Please forgive me, Akari-san. And be so kind as to extend my apology to Yukishiro-san as well.”
“You do not need to worry about anything, Yuuta-sama. It was an honor to just have been given the opportunity. I shall pass on your message to Yukishiro-sama.”
“Thanks. Please give her my best regards.”
“Okay, allow me to excuse myself at this point.”
How incredible.
Yuuta ended up admiring her. He couldn’t sense a single shred of animosity from Akari. Rather, she exhibited an attitude as though his decision of having refused the offer of the next matriarch of the Eternal Minato was very reasonable.
Whether this was Akari’s true character or her education as a woman of a high family; it seemed to Yuuta as though Akari might be very proud in her position as high woman of this world.

The details about today’s incident that Takuya had sparked inside Yuuta’s classroom would later be passed on to Yukishiro by Akari.

Translation Notes:
1. Forgot if I explained it before, but just in case: the term hidden behind “under the umbrella” here refers to 寄子 (yoriko). This is yet another rather old custom of hierarchy. Basically, the Yoshiwaras are the head honchos with many other families serving them or being connected to them while being in an inferior position. Those yoriko families are closely tied to the Yoshiwaras (not necessarily by blood though) and the Yoshiwaras have a duty to protect them in return for their subordinate loyalty. Kind of like the relation between a mafia godfather and his family and the branch mafia families under him.
