Chapter 26: Tomoe and Ayaka (1)
Tomoe and Ayaka (1)
“I have visited Yuuta-sama to inform him of his rise in rank. Moreover, I also received his verbal promise that he would be visiting his classroom on the next School Day.”
“Oh my, so even an incompetent dunce like you is capable of at least that much, huh?”
Ayaka gave a report about Yuuta to her superior. However, right now she wasn’t talking to the chief of the Second Male Supervision Section where the ordinary citizens worked, but the director of the Male Administration Department.
“Thank you for your efforts. By the way, there has been a change in appointments that concerns you. Starting in April, you will be removed from Yuuta-sama’s case and take charge of Renji-sama, a first-year at junior highschool.”
“I understand,” replied Ayaka indifferently without showing a single change on her face as she had already predicted this development to occur.
“Good grief, if only you had properly briefed Yuuta-sama in regards to the Sperm Donation Service, he would be a D-Rank by now.”
“Please forgive my inadequacies.”
It was impossible to decide a man’s male ranking with just the authority of the Male Supervision Department. But because rearing many outstanding men would count as an accomplishment of the Male Supervision Department, its director wished for as many men to rise in rank as possible.
However, the decision of a man’s male ranking was also influenced by the wills of the cabinet office and other governmental offices, so it wasn’t possible for the Male Supervision Department to readily raise Yuuta’s rank to D just for the reason of him working hard.
“Tomoe-san of Section One is going to become Yuuta-sama’s new case worker.”
As expected, Ayaka thought, seeing how the information she had heard beforehand proved to be correct.
“Please hand over the case properly.”
“Yes, Ma’am! I will do my utmost!”
“You’re dismissed.”
“Please excuse me!”
After she left the room of the Male Supervision Department’s director and came back to her own desk, her replacement was already waiting for her. Tomoe of Section One.
This work is hosted on mananovel.com
“Nice to meet you, Tomoe-san.”
“The same to you, Ayaka-san. Umm, about the matter in question…”
Ayaka giggled shortly, “Don’t worry about it. Want to have a talk over coffee?”
“Okay.”
As usual, she’s a beauty who draws the eyes of those around her, Ayaka thought.
Tomoe of the First Male Supervision Section had an appearance that was rare in Nihon. Her father didn’t hail from Nihon, but Sachar, a kingdom located on the continent with both countries being separated by the ocean.
Her shiny blond hair was cut into a medium, wavy bob. She possessed almost transparent, white skin, and two blue eyes that seemed to suck in anyone who looked into them. All in all, she had the face of a beauty, and if her ears were tapered on top of all this, she would have likely been misunderstood as one of those elves who appeared in the myths of the Old World.
She was 28 years old, possessed a height of 170 cm, and her three sizes were 100 (J) – 60 – 90. A career woman at the prime of her life.
Even though Ayaka didn’t think she was losing out to her four years younger counterpart when it came to her figure, she didn’t feel like she could win in regards to skin beauty. With her height of 164 cm and her three sizes being 102 (K) – 60 – 91, Ayaka’s figure was nothing to scoff at either though.
The two moved to the cafe inside the department’s building. After ordering their coffees, they sat down at a table. Thanks for reading on ManaNovel!
“Earlier the director informed me of the change in appointments. Please take care of Yuuta-sama, starting with April.”
“I’m truly sorry, Ayaka-san. All of this is because of me.”
“Nevermind it. After all, I had already heard some rumors. I can also understand your wish of wanting to return to being Yuuta-sama’s case worker. I will properly hand the case over, so you don’t need to worry.”
“Thank you kindly. Umm, there’s one thing I would like to ask you no matter what.”
“What is it?”
“Ayaka-san, how were you able to cure Yuuta-sama’s mind and get him back up on his feet?”
I’m sure she must have her doubts.
After the incident during his first Service as first-year, Yuuta had closed off his heart. Although he felt grateful for Tomoe’s devoted support, he never attempted to resume his Service Activities.
And then, all of a sudden, the same guy overcame his past trauma, changed his attitude, and started to actively perform Services. Ayaka could easily guess that the question of what had happened here had to occupy Tomoe’s mind.
Ayaka planned to inform Tomoe about Yuuta’s current state, but there were many things she couldn’t divulge, such as the organization or the implantation of the personality of an Old World’s man. As such, she’d bring Tomoe up to date while keeping those things secret.
“Do you know about Yuuta-sama catching a high fever right at the start of the New Year?”
“Yes, I do.”
So she had been going after Yuuta-sama’s reports even after being removed from the post as his case worker, huh? Ayaka thought in admiration.
“At that time, Yuuta-sama called me over to rely on me, most likely because he felt helpless.”
“I-I see.”
Why is Tomoe looking so sad?
Ayaka almost laughed out when she saw the other woman pull a face which seemed to demand that Yuuta should have relied on her and not Ayaka. It made Ayaka consider Tomoe to be a rather cute woman.
“I had the privilege to nurse Yuuta-sama over several days, and it looks like Yuuta-sama had all sorts of thoughts about his own future during that period.”
“His own future…”
“Once he reflected on his current situation in light of his imminent graduation at school, he apparently became quite anxious. As such, I provided him with some loose advice while nursing him, but after fully recovering, Yuuta-sama suddenly became all motivated, and started his activity drive which has been going on until now.”
“I see…Yuuta-sama properly considered his own future.”
Ayaka felt relieved after she saw on Tomoe’s face that the younger woman could apparently come to terms with that explanation, albeit not fully. She decided to contact Yuuta later since it’d be bad if they didn’t get their stories straight in advance.
“Ayaka-san, do you think…Yuuta-sama will accept me?”
The Male Supervision Department had decided that Tomoe would become Yuuta’s case worker from April onwards, but it was another question what Yuuta himself was thinking about this assignment. Under normal circumstances, a change in case workers would be coordinated with the affected man in advance, and the change would go through based on the man’s opinion, seeing how important a matter it was for him.
Because Tomoe, a member of Section One, was requesting to take over Yuuta’s case from a Section Two member, the upper management had decided on the change within the department. However, if Yuuta were to strongly oppose that reassignment afterwards, it was more than possible that Ayaka would actually remain his case worker.
Seeing her younger colleague uneasy like that, Ayaka answered with a smile, “It will be fine. You don’t need to worry. I’d like you to keep this a secret, but actually I have already told Yuuta-sama about you since I heard that you wanted to return to being his case worker.”
“Really!?”
“Yes. Yuuta-sama didn’t show the slightest hint of disliking the idea. I’m sure he will accept you without any hesitation.”
“T-Thank you so much!”
Tomoe seemed so moved that she looked as though she’d start crying right here and now.
She had been terribly regretting her own mistake, asking herself every day why she forgot to briefly inform Yuuta to take a high family’s request as his first Service back then.
“I’m going to meet with Yuuta-sama soon, so I will mention your matter at that time. If I get his permission, I will let you meet him right away. Oh right, how about we go together to Yuuta-sama’s graduation ceremony?”
“Eh!? T-That’s okay with you?”
“Of course. Tomoe-san, you also were Yuuta-sama’s case worker supporting him during his junior highschool time. You have all the right to participate in the graduation ceremony.”
“Thank you very much! For you to be so nice…to a person like me…*sniff*…”
What an unusual person.
Section One consisted of high women. Meanwhile, all the common women had been placed in Section Two. Naturally, many in Section One looked down on Section Two. As such, they wouldn’t readily express their gratitude like Tomoe was doing right now, even if they received something from someone who was older than them.
Hence, Tomoe had parts that were atypical for high women despite belonging to the high women of Section One.
Is it the influence of her father? No, I’ve heard that he’s a man of the Sachar Kingdom, so they shouldn’t have lived together. In that case, it must come from her mother. If I remember correctly…Tomoe-san’s mother should belong to a family lineage affiliated to the Eternal Yoshiwara. So, I guess it’s the influence of the present matriarch of the Yoshiwaras.
The present Yoshiwara matriarch was famous among high women and ordinary citizens alike. Her name was Nanase Kagura.
Nanase, who received the surname Kagura by marrying her husband, was widely admired by the women of this country for having married her current husband after a passionate romance. Hence, hers was a love marriage. Something that was rare among high families, let alone Eternals. Her love affair, which was passed down among the women almost like a legend, went so far in popularity that quite a few romantic stories were written with Nanase as a referential point.
It’s rumored that many of the high families, which are close to the Eternal Yoshiwara, possess a strong yearning for romantic love to begin with. It’d clearly explain why Tomoe-san’s mother married a man of the foreign Sachar Kingdom, too.
“Yuuta-sama will attend his classroom during the next School Day.”
“Oh my, what wonderful news!”
“Indeed. I plan to meet with him afterwards, so I will update you on the state of things later on.”
“Thank you!”
Due to Tomoe smiling a lot more cheerfully now, compared to the time when they entered the cafe, even Ayaka, who usually smiled insincerely when dealing with high women, ended up getting lured into revealing a genuine smile.

“So, as explained, please match your story to mine.”
“Roger.”
Ayaka had visited Yuuta’s room on the day after School Day. First she informed him about the expected change in assignment of case workers and Tomoe, then she updated him on the previous exchange she had with Tomoe.
“So you’re saying Tomoe-san had been truly worried about Yuuta-kun, huh?”
“Yes. She is a very nice woman and I believe that she will be great as a case worker for you, Yuuta-sama.”
“Well, I’ll stay in contact with you behind her back anyway.”
“That is one side of the story, but for you as a member of Dreamseducers it is better to have a case worker belonging to Section One, when it comes to your future, public activities. Additionally, I think that Tomoe-san being your case worker will be the ideal option for you and the organization.”
And then they moved their conversation to the topic of Yuuta’s school attendance.
“How did your School Day go after the long absence?”
“I had lots of fun! The reactions by the girls were all positive. Even though I had mentally prepared myself to be bullied for a long time to come yet.”
“I would assume that the female students embraced the wish to socialize with you in such a positive light exactly because they highly evaluated your hard work, Yuuta-sama. Even so, I must admit, this is great news.”
“Yes, absolutely! It made me feel that it’s been worthwhile to invest so much effort into this. Oh, and the very first girl to visit my classroom was called Aoi-san…”
Yuuta recounted his time with Aoi’s group and the promise to visit Moe’s grandmother at the hospital.
“Oh, how wonderful! All for the sake of Moe-san’s Grandmother…Yuuta-sama, you are truly such an ideal man for us women that one could actually doubt your existence.”
“Well, as long as her health can improve from me visiting her…”
“Yuuta-sama, it is a very auspicious event for a woman to have a man accept a Sick Visit Service. You deprecating yourself like this does a disservice to the woman in question.”
“Ah, I understand. Okay, I’ll keep this in mind from now on.”
“By the way, is the Aoi-san you mentioned Aoi-sama of the Eternal Yoshiwara family by chance?”
“Mmh? Eternal Yoshiwara family? Hmm, I wonder? She introduced herself as Aoi to me.”
“I see…was there a girl called Manami with her?”
“Yes.”
“Then there is no doubt about Aoi-san being Aoi-sama, the next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwaras. She has a childhood friend called Manami.”
“Eternals means they have been a high family for all the time, right?”
“Yes. It refers to families which remained high families across all generations as far as Nihon’s history reaches. Toukyou has two of those Eternals – the Yoshiwaras and the Minatos.”
“Oh, as a matter of fact…”
Yuuta told Ayaka about his conversation with Yukishiro after lunch.
“Yukishiro-sama, the next matriarch of the Eternal Minato family has… For her to have recommended the woman called Akari as your direct affiliate…I think it would be better to not go along with this.”
“Eh? Why would you say so?”
Although Yuuta hadn’t accepted Yukishiro’s offer on the spot as he remembered Aoi back then, he considered the offer in and by itself to be fairly decent, if it was true.
“The bad blood between the Yoshiwaras and Minatos is widely known. If Aoi-sama has visited your classroom, I would say that Yukishiro-sama’s offer loses out in charm.”
“Eh? Umm, Aoi-san and I still don’t…”
“Aoi-sama has requested to accompany you for tomorrow’s Sick Visit Service, has she not?”
“That she did.”
“Then I see no problem. You should turn down Yukishiro-sama’s offer. In the first place, Yukishiro-sama’s offer is not about her marrying you personally, but about attaching one of her followers to you. If you compare the merits, Yukishiro-sama’s offer clearly does not measure up.”
“G-Got it.”
Then again, Yuuta had already planned to turn down the offer if he could get Aoi to join his class. But, seeing how he had talked with her only once so far, Yuuta simply didn’t have the confidence that she’d join his class.
“Umm, is there any meaning behind a woman accompanying a man’s Service?”
“Of course. Usually it means the accompanying woman is the man’s fiancée or wife.”
“Eeehhh!?”
Yuuta jumped up from his sofa out of sheer surprise.
“T-T-T-That’s w-what it m-m-m-means!?”
“Please calm down. This is the common meaning when it comes to adults. Since both of you are still junior highschool students, it does not have such a deep meaning.”
“I-I see.”
But, it wasn’t as though it didn’t have any meaning whatsoever either. At the very least, the women knowing about Aoi’s accompanying Yuuta on his Sick Visit Service would interpret it as Aoi having opened up her heart to Yuuta and Yuuta regarding Aoi as potential fiancée candidate, Ayaka thought to herself.
What worried Ayaka, however, was another point in this whole matter.
Does the current matriarch Nanase-sama know about any of this?
Where it concerned the husband of the next matriarch of one of Toukyou’s two renowned Eternal families, choosing an outstanding elite would be desirable. Nanase was famous for her great love story, but her husband was a superb man, nonetheless. Rather, him being an excellent elite was one of the driving forces behind Nanase’s passionate romance turning into such a perfect tale.
Though, I’m pretty sure that the whole country will know of Yuuta-sama’s excellence…within a year.
She was the one who induced Yuuta into not becoming a D-Rank, but she had never expected that he’d be approached by Aoi of the Eternal Yoshiwara. As such, she was sweating buckets in her mind now.
Ayaka trusted Yuuta that he’d still do his Underground Services and treat common women gently, even if he married Aoi. Because of that, she wished for only the best results to appear in Yuuta’s future public ratings, and it was also the reason why she could come to terms with Tomoe becoming his case worker. Yet, she now even felt regrets, wondering whether her own actions would actually backfire on her after coming all this way.
“I am very certain that tomorrow’s Sick Visit Service is going to be a wonderful event for everyone involved. I suggest that you attempt to deepen your relationship with Aoi-sama, if possible, while observing to keep the highest priority on the Service Activity.”
“O-Okay. Umm, Ayaka-san, is it okay for me to deepen my relations with women of high families?”
“Of course.”
“I had thought you’d dislike the idea.”
“Why?”
“Isn’t Dreamseducers an organization established for the sake of common women? Wouldn’t the organization want to avoid me coming in contact with high women as much as possible?”
“Oh, now I understand. If any of the male members of Dreamseducers wish to leave the organization because they possess good connections with high families, it will readily be approved. Of course, we will have them keep everything they know about Dreamseducers a secret though.”
“Huh? Really?”
“Yes. But, I have never heard of any such stories…about high women having approached the men belonging to our organization.”
“Oh, I see.”
This was only logical since men, who might be approached by high women, wouldn’t be leftovers in the first place.
“Dreamseducers does not force men in any way. It is not like there exist any set quotes when it comes to Underground Services either. And even if a man kindly undertakes an Underground Service, he has no obligation to sleep with the woman. The organization simply approves of the man having sex with the woman if he feels like it.”
“That does make sense.”
“As such, the organization will readily let a man go, as long as he promises to not disclose anything about us.”
“Me as well?”
“It is nothing I would want to consider, but…if you truly wish to leave Dreamseducers, Yuuta-sama, then yes.”
“You don’t need to worry because I’m not planning to do anything like that.”
“That is great news. You are a unique existence for us. As of yet, only few know about your existence within the organization. And only a part of those knowing about you understand your true value. When I imagine how I will be able to watch your great exploits, leading to your name spreading wide and far within our organizations…I get totally thrilled!”
“A-Ahahaha, I will do my best to meet your expectations, Ayaka-san.”
Once again Yuuta strengthened his resolve to strive hard at his Underground Services. But, since it’d allow him to spend some wonderful quality time with lovely and attractive women, Yuuta felt like this alone would already be the highest reward he could hope for.
“Also, please allow me to tell you this just in case since you might misunderstand things in some way as a person from The Old World…”
“Alright, I’m all ears.”
“Common women like us harbor strong feelings of admiration and yearning towards the women of high families. And we also respect them deeply.”
“Okay.”
Is it the cliche of the masses glorifying those in power?
This was Yuuta’s misunderstanding.
“Unfortunately, some high women discriminate against and despise common women. Personally I also felt like slapping my superiors once or twice. But, various circumstances in the long history of this world led to the current society taking this form. High women holding power and sheltering excellent men is one of the outcomes of past events. Their guidance by controlling many allows for society as a whole to develop. And because they are such superb women, society gives them priority when it comes to the chance of coming into contact with men. Naturally, the high women have become skilled at keeping men company because they have so many opportunities to practice.”
“I see.”
“Most of the renown ladies among the high families of Nihon are great women who have been protecting and advancing Nihon while staking their lives on it. The implementation of the exceedingly high technology of artificial insemination, as a prime example here, was only possible because of high women.”
“Artificial insemination, huh?”
“Yuuta-sama, would you say that the women of this world are very attractive to men?”
“Yes. All of you are exceedingly pretty and charming.”
Compared to the Old World, the women of this world were all way more beautiful, adorable, and attractive with their sexy bodies.
“Us women put in a lot of effort――so much so that you could actually say we risk our life for it――to become as attractive to men as possible. And all of that is for the sake of men.”
Yuuta believed that her 「for the sake of men」 referred to women doing everything for men to find them attractive. And of course, that sort of meaning was included as well, but…
“99% of the births in this world take place through artificial insemination. A woman will be artificially inseminated with the sperm of the man most compatible to her according to her genetic information. But, most of the women do not go through with the artificial fertilization right away.”
“Huh? Why?”
“Going by the information of the man whose sperm is going to be used, they will put in strenuous efforts to improve themselves after scientifically researching how they need to change themselves to give birth to an even better child. They alter their diet, exercise, and daily habits. And they will even change their own genetic information within the range of what is scientifically possible without causing any problems.”
“Going this far…”
“Indeed. All of it for the sake of the child that will be born by them. On top of that, they do it for the sake of the ridiculously small chance of 1 in 10,000 to give birth to a boy. And in the unlikely event of a woman actually giving birth to a boy, she will wish for that child to grow up healthily and energetically without any troubles whatsoever.”
Yuuta couldn’t answer anything.
“And even while they invest so much effort into all of this, 99% of the women in this world pass away without ever getting in contact with a man.
…Ah, forgive me, I digressed from what I wanted to tell you midway. Personally I believe it would be a good thing for you to hold connections to high women. In addition to that, I earnestly pray that you will continue your activities as a member of Dreamseducers, Yuuta-sama.”
“Yes…I’ll do my best!”
“Hehe, thank you so much.”
Seeing Yuuta’s face brimming with motivation, Ayaka couldn’t avoid showing a smile that expressed her joy.
“Also, assuming you do marry a woman of a high family, I think it would be a huge delight to us if that woman could be Aoi-sama.”
“Is there any reason for that fixation on Aoi-san?”
“I hear that Aoi-sama is treating her commoner classmates at school very kindly and open-heartedly. She sounds to be a person with little discrimination towards common citizens.”
“Yes, Aoi-san seemed to be very gentle.”
“However, although I might say all that about her, she is still the next matriarch of the Eternal Yoshiwaras. She received the highest education available to high women. The organization will not comment on your connection with Aoi-sama in any way, but when considering your future activities for Dreamseducers, we would be happy if you could deepen your relationship with her.”
“Okay!”
“Also, one more thing: As a matter of fact, your next case worker Tomoe-san has deep connections to Aoi-sama’s Yoshiwaras.”
“Eh? Really!?”
“I shall inform Tomoe-san about the matter with Aoi-sama right after we are done here. I am more than certain that Tomoe-san will strongly hope for you to form a deep relationship with Aoi-sama.”
Afterwards, they decided on a date for Yuuta to meet with Tomoe, and then Ayaka left Yuuta’s home.
