Chapter 12: You bully!
Miss Eclara left me at the table, frozen by the announcement she had just made.
(Nonono, this is just a coincidence. Even if her name is Eclara Dien Rot and her master is Pax Karmerot, that doesn’t mean it will be the same as the game.)
I was slowly convincing myself with these thoughts.
(Yes, that’s right. For one thing, the principals are different people. If this were like the game, his age would be in the 20s. Also, there’s no sign of the protagonist here.)
“Phew…”
I let out a sigh of relief once I managed to calm myself down.
“Umm, Miss Lumina, I think we should get going.”
“Ah, that’s right.”

I stood up from my seat, restored the place with magic, and started walking toward the general studies building.
When I arrived, the classroom was already crowded. They were the same classmates I had been with for the past three years, and just like before, they still didn’t talk to me. There was a time when I tried talking to my seatmate, but she suddenly paled and started apologizing to me. I was so shocked by her behavior that I began to wonder if I was frightening.
I quickly took my seat and began writing on my desk. The material I was working on was now quite advanced compared to the lessons I was receiving. In mathematics, I was dealing with linear equations, while in science, I struggled to remember Newton’s laws of motion.
The morning schedule as a third-grade student didn’t change much. Classes started at 8 a.m. and ended at noon. We only had two subjects: the first two hours were for literature and history, while the next two hours were dedicated to basic mathematics—still just multiplication. Who would have thought that multiplication would be such a struggle? In my old world, we usually started dealing with fractions in third grade.
Our usually free afternoons were now filled with sword-fighting lessons. The school does not discriminate by gender, so even girls are included in the lessons. This class was one of the reasons I was excited to become a third grader.
Since I can use magic, I could become like those characters in the fantasy RPG games I used to play. I could become a ‘magic swordsman,’ doing things like reinforcing my body with strengthening magic, wielding a flaming sword, and fighting dragons.
Those things are both romantic and enjoyable. However, if this world is the same as the game I played before I died, fighting dragons might become a daily occurrence, which I don’t really want. My most advanced spell is only freezing things at a molecular level to make ice cubes. So, if there’s a god in this world, please have mercy and don’t let it become like the game.
“Miss Lumina, please go to the board and solve the following calculations.”
My teacher’s call interrupted my thoughts. I looked up at the board and saw 20 sets of equations. They were very simple for someone who had finished high school or college.
“Haaa…”
I sighed heavily and stood up from my seat. Looking at my teacher, he seemed confident that I couldn’t solve this. I was tempted to taunt him for more difficult questions, but I didn’t want to draw attention.
I finished writing on the blackboard in about 10 minutes and quietly returned to my desk with a bored expression. Who wouldn’t be bored solving 18+42, 15-6, and 10x20 for three years?
“As expected, you managed to get everything correct even though these materials are for high school.”
With the teacher’s announcement, my classmates began clapping their hands in admiration. As for my reaction to his announcement, I closed my eyes and sighed heavily.
(So we won’t cover fractions, decimals, or division even in high school? I’m already teaching Emilia long division—who knew it would be useless here?)
Our morning classes ended, and I met up with Emilia as I went downstairs. We headed back to the dormitory for lunch. Normally, we’d just stop by and take our lunch elsewhere, but because we had afternoon classes, we couldn’t spend our time leisurely.
“So, how was your class?”
“Compared to what you teach me, it’s quite easy and boring.”
A smile appeared on my face at her response.
“Really? Did you know that I was given some senior-level materials to solve on the blackboard?”
“That happened to you too, Miss Lumina?”
My eyes widened in shock, and I covered my mouth with my left hand.
“So it happened to you as well?”
“Yes.”
“To be honest, I was quite disappointed when I found out they were for seniors.”
I giggled at her statement.
“Same here… It seems you’re ready to earn the title of ‘genius,’ Emilia.”
“You don’t have any right to call me a genius.”
We continued laughing until we reached the door of the canteen. Emilia quickly opened it and started looking for a free table. When I entered the canteen, all sound ceased, and everyone, including the seniors, focused their gaze on me.
Feeling their stares, my cheeks turned red, and I had to resist the urge to stare at the floor. I suppressed that urge and walked over to Emilia, who was placing food on a table at the farthest edge of the canteen.
(Are you teasing me? You could have chosen a closer table, but no~! It had to be the farthest! Just wait until after class; I’ll teach you the wonders of pi and the circumference of a circle… heeheehee.)
Acting like I didn’t mind their gazes or the silence, I arrived at Emilia’s table and sat down. I started eating. As soon as the spoon entered my mouth, the silence in the canteen was broken, and the students resumed their meals. I occasionally caught some of them glancing at me, but since it wasn’t as intense as before, I ignored it.
“Thanks for the food.”
“You’re welcome.”
Emilia started cleaning the table and pushed the trolley back to the kitchen. I stood up from my chair and walked toward the exit. Along the way, Emilia caught up to me and followed without saying a word.
“That was really mean! Why did you pick the farthest table!?”
“It’s for your own good, Miss Lumina. Hehehe…”
As we exited the dormitory, I started a conversation with Emilia while walking toward the field for our afternoon class.
“Hmph… for my own good? Is embarrassing someone like that really for my own good?”
“Yes.”
“Hah!? Are you sure you’re not bullying me?”
“Nope. Didn’t you enjoy having everyone’s attention on you?”
“No!?”
Emilia laughed as I continued to protest.
“Once we get older, there will be more situations like that, Miss Lumina. I think it’s better if you get used to it.”
“There’s no way I’ll ever get used to that.”
“You never know…”
“Haaa~”
