There’s Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!

Chapter 184 - Dekan Felt The Shadow World’s Anxiety

Index

On the beaches of the southeastern parts of the Holy Kingdom.

With sunglasses on and laying on beach chairs under a parasol, Dekan and Cornelia were sunbathing.

They had enjoyed a wonderful seven-day vacation together.

Now, the deadline for their mission in the Shadow World was finally approaching.

"I have to say, this Shadow World experience was really good, much better than the previous two times."

"I'd love to come back."

"We'll definitely come back to the Holy Kingdom."

"Just take me along, and we're good, meow!"

Although Teacher Cat often criticized Dekan for not acting like a human, it always ended up sticking close to Dekan and Cornelia after enjoying itself.

Finally, as they basked in their contentment, the countdown phase of the Shadow World began.

After being forcibly transported out of the Shadow World, they found themselves temporarily in the familiar transitional space.

This was a temporary resting place between the Shadow World and the real world, used for settling rewards.

Soon, the mission interface began to update, giving off the feeling that it wanted to hurry them along.

[Shadow World: Secrets of the Declined Sacred Ritual Cleared]

[Currently Calculating Rewards]

[Generating Evaluation]

[Due to the highly coordinated actions of the team, settlement will be done as a team]

[Challengers: Dekan, Cornelia & Demi]

"Wait, who is Demi?" Dekan asked, a bit puzzled.

Teacher Cat angrily jumped onto his head and pulled at his hair. "Demi is me, meow! You still don't know my name after knowing me for so long?!"

"Ah? I thought your name was just Teacher Cat," Dekan replied, feigning surprise.

This only made the Teacher Cat angrier! "I'm not going home today, meow! I'm going to live with Cornelia!"

"What's the difference between living with either of us?"

"Meow... there doesn’t seem to be any..."

As they chatted, the Shadow World continued to update the settlement information.

[In this narrative-style Shadow World, the team has unlocked Mission Objectives 2 and 3 through unconventional means, successfully completed the killing of the final boss, Countess Lysilina, and successfully induced Marquess Roderick to self-destruct]

[The team has achieved the following accomplishments:]

[I’ve Had Enough of You E — Using unconventional means to forcefully disrupt the Shadow World's completion difficulty way ahead of time.]

[Village Poverty Creator A — Earned currency resources beyond the limits in a small town]

[Never Decrypted S — Successfully completed the mission without adhering to the original mechanisms of the Shadow World]

[Curse of the Vampire SSS — Caused the death of a vampire marquess x1, killed a vampire count x1, vampire servants of Tier 6 x5]

[Enlightenment in Music and Etiquette E — You didn't destroy a single piano this time]

...

[Seven-Day Tour of the Holy Kingdom A — Completed achievements contradicting the style of this Shadow World]

Seeing the notifications, Dekan furrowed his brow.

Was this [I’ve Had Enough of You] achievement something the Shadow World wanted to say?

And that [Enlightenment in Music and Etiquette], isn’t it a bit presumptuous?

[Achievement Summary Completed, Evaluation Generated]

[You all are an unpredictable nightmare for both the vampires and the Holy Kingdom. Despite this, there are still many people in the southern border of the Holy Kingdom who survived because of you. Alas, this history is now forgotten by all.]

[Team Overall Evaluation: SSS]

[Due to the highly coordinated and significant contributions of Dekan and another non-team challenger, a synergistic attribute will be granted]

[Dekan & Mauleon Obtain Synergistic Attribute: Collusion]

[Collusion: When the two appear in the same Shadow World, Dekan has a higher chance of obtaining authority status while Mauleon has a higher chance of obtaining merchant status.]

Dekan looked at the prompt, feeling that today's Shadow World was particularly aggressive.

[Reward Settlement: Tier Increase (Dekan Tier 3 → Tier 4, Cornelia Tier 4 → Tier 4, Demi Tier 5 → Tier 5), Blood Destruction (Tier 6 Epic Spell Card)]

"Why is it just one item this time, meow?"

"It's a tier 6 epic spell card, it’s not bad. Additionally, there might be another lesser card or materials that went to Mauleon."

With a name as domineering as this card, its effects must be quite strong.

Dekan grabbed the spell card suspended in the air. The card was giving off occasional surges of orange arcs on its surface.

"It truly lives up to being a tier 6 epic card."

The terrifying magical fluctuations contained in the card were felt by Dekan the moment he touched it.

[Blood Destruction]

[Category: Spell Card]

[Rarity: Orange Epic]

[Tier: 6]

[Effect: 10 seconds after casting, clear all status effects and nullify all equipment effects from user before dealing devastating damage to the user. Cause equivalent damage and destruction effects to all living and non-living entities within range. Cooldown period: 30 days.]

[Note: The last spell used by Marquess Roderick before his demise.]

"Meow?"

Teacher Cat lay on Dekan's head, looking at the card's effects, somewhat perplexed.

"..."

Dekan fell silent as well. He finally truly felt the malice emanating from the Shadow World.

The final rewards from the Shadow World were related to their contributions, the enemies they defeated, or the loot they acquired within the Shadow World.

This time, they dealt with the strongest enemy, Marquess Roderick.

In theory, getting an SSS rating should at least warrant a tier 6 epic spell card. However, as for the specific card related to Marquess Roderick, it all depended on luck. Yet, they ended up with the most insane card! "Roderick’s Suicide!"

This card probably had unparalleled range damage and destructive power. But it was a consumable. Use it once and the card will vanish along with the user!

The intentions of the Shadow World were clear. It wanted Dekan dead.

"This card is insane, meow! Only Marquess Roderick would use it!" Teacher Cat exclaimed in disappointment upon seeing the worn-out orange card.

An unbound tier 6 epic card was a priceless item. If sold, Teacher Cat could have made quite a profit. However, this card was obviously unsellable. No matter how powerful it was, who would use a one-time-use card?

However, Teacher Cat noticed something surprising. Dekan was not disappointed at all. In fact, he even high-fived Cornelia!

"You guys...," Teacher Cat stared wide-eyed at their reactions. It suddenly realized that this card might actually be reusable by one person!

"You damn well aren't thinking of selling this card to Croix so he can wreak havoc on others, are you, meow?!"

Dekan: "Why not? Croix has the funds, buying it won't be an issue."

Cornelia: "Perfect match!"

"Ah, Lil Shadow World, you're still too naive," Dekan coldly chuckled and shook his head.

The Shadow World had not anticipated that Dekan had a good buddy who had never appeared together in the Shadow World with him. Moreover, this buddy could convert all spell damage into healing. So, giving [Blood Destruction] to Croix meant not only would he not die, he could also heal himself from a sliver of health to full health! It was like having an extra life card.

Moreover, once this card was triggered, it would unleash a cataclysmic wave of group healing.

Priests and bombers would shed tears just looking at it.

As long as "Blood Destruction" was in Croix's hands, he could confidently proclaim—"I am atomic!"
