Chapter 345: C-Rank Advancement Examination (1)

We’re set to take the C-Rank Advancement Exam today.

We’re already promoted to D-rank before our trip to beat the Evil God. A lot of things happened since then, so it took a while before we gathered enough points to raise our rank to C.

Well, I guess it’s still alright even if it took some time since normally, it takes a few years for an adventurer to advance to C-rank. There are also some adventurers who retire without ever reaching that rank.

We became eligible to take the exam within three months, so it’s quite fast compared to the typical timeframe, apparently.

It’s just that not all members of the Ernol family will be taking the exam.

Tina, Mai, Mei, Ryuka and Elmia — these five are currently on break.

They’re carrying my children, after all.

This is a serious matter, so I asked them to sit out for this exam just to be on the safe side.

I slept with my fifteen wives before going to beat the Evil God.

Since I was about to attack one of the deities of this world, I wanted to do everything I can so that I won’t leave any regrets in this world even if worse comes to worst.

All the more reason I absolutely shouldn’t die.

I also punched Evil God without a hitch(I think?), and I don’t have any interest for revenge more than that.

When I went to Evil God’s place, he dispatched 15 demons to my mansion since that’s the place where we teleported from, but —

It wasn’t a big deal at all.

Sea God told me when we returned that he felt a bit of pity towards those 15 guys.

I requested Sea God to come over to my mansion as part of the countermeasure plan against Evil God should he retaliate. But then, those 15 demons had been instantly annihilated the moment they appeared in the courtyard of the mansion before he could even do a single thing.

That’s because my wives that couldn’t come with me to beat Evil God had been vigilantly waiting, eager to help in any way they could.

Those fifteen demons' first reaction must’ve been despair — so Celestial Spirit King said.

Celestial Spirit King, who was also invited over to protect my wives, didn’t do anything. No, he couldn’t do anything.

I even took Tina, Akari and Sitri, the three strongest women amongst my wives, with me to Evil God’s place but… Those who were left behind were strong enough to overpower those few demons.

If we take the Evil God himself out of the equation, then the demons should be the strongest subordinates under his control.

Of those demons, the majority of the 72 high-ranking ones directly under the control of Evil God had already been annihilated.

Even the mid to low ranking ones who were weaker than the high-ranking demons could be defeated by Luna on her own, and she has the lowest combat ability in the entire Ernol family, to say the least. Of course, we already made some preventive measures so that Luna doesn’t have to fight them all by herself.

By the way, my wife Sitri is also a former high-ranking demon. The three demons that were get along well with her already pledged never to oppose the Ernol family, and they were still alive, peacefully living in the demon world.

Anyway, we’re enjoying peace now, so we’re happy.

I never imagined I’d have a child in just one round, but —

Luna, Merdie, Sylph, Akari, Sitri, Ryuushin, Hinata and I will be the eight people in this batch taking the C-rank Advancement Examination.

Lielle, Luke’s wife, is also pregnant, so they’re sitting out from this exam too.

Tina and the others’ bellies weren’t big yet, so they could still do the chores like normal. In fact, they could also fight.

Still, just to be on the safe side, they will be staying home along with the wives who will be there to support them. They will be taking the exam altogether next time.

In order for that to happen, the representative of the clan should be ranked C or higher, but there’s no other restrictions, apparently.

I teleported Luna and the others with me to the Royal Capital, where we’ll be taking our C-rank advancement examination.
