Chapter 60: Dreamlike Part 2

Index

Celina Za had a wonderful dream.

She couldn’t remember what it was, but she felt like she had rested for what seemed like decades. Her body felt light, and her mind was fresh and ready to go. It was as if a huge stone had been lifted off her chest.

She gently wiped her eyes, yawned lightly, and tried to get up… only to find that someone was holding her head back.

As she opened her eyes, she met those green eyes, and all the events from before immediately rushed back.

[Marc: Shhhh… It’s fine.]

He said this as his hand continued to wander through her hair.

[Mersa: Za-chan! You finally woke up!]

The wolf girl’s cheerful voice startled Celina as her face popped into view.

[Mersa: It’s fine, I’m not against Marc being with you.]

She dropped a bombshell, which was also what Celina had been afraid of! Was she the cause of a potential split between Mersa and Vorst? No! She did not want that!

[Celina: I-I’m sorry, Cam-chan! I don’t... This is no good!]

She jumped up, totally flustered, and forcefully separated from Marc. Confusion appeared on the faces of the other two.

[Mersa: You don’t want to be with Marc?]

[Marc: Celina?]

[Celina: I-I-I do… but I can’t separate you two! I’m in the way…]

The tiger girl wanted to deny it, but when she met Marc’s gaze, the words stuck in her throat. She couldn’t bring herself to reject it right in front of him. Frustrated by her own heart rebelling against her, she blurted out her true thoughts. Hearing this, the wolf girl exhaled with relief and rushed in to give her a tight hug.

[Mersa: I’m so happy you think the same! But don’t worry, we will be with Marcdrak together.]

This sight completely melted Marc’s usual reserved demeanor, and he stepped up to embrace them both.

Celina’s brain short-circuited for a moment. When she finally came to her senses, she could hardly believe it was real. She must have been having some sort of kinky dream. However, it was not a dream—because the harsh awakening she expected did not come, and she finally realized that everything was truly real.

Her tears fell again, but this time they were tears of happiness.

---

Intruders appeared in Marc’s Soul Realm. Calla, who was always responsible for protecting Marc’s place, immediately sensed their arrival. When she looked down, a smile flashed across her face as she recognized the three figures from a distance.

Pat, pat.

She patted the ground she was sitting on, and it moved.

Rrrrrrrrrrrr…

Fafnir meekly answered with a low growl that sounded more like a purr and leaped down.

---

Celina suddenly appeared in an unknown place. She only remembered Vorst touching both of her cheeks, and then she was here. She started looking around, trying to hide her completely red face. Then she saw Mersa appearing right next to her.

Before she could ask anything, there was a huge explosion in the distance.

---

Fafnir landed lightly. Given his large size, if he had truly crashed into the surface, it would not have resulted in just a small crater. He felt a light tap on his forehead.

With a black flash, Calla appeared in front of the three.

---

Celina had no time to make a detailed observation of the gigantic creature that had swept down from the sky. From the dust cloud, a black line shot towards them and just as it was about to crash into them, it stalled.

Then that blurry black dot transformed into an extraordinarily beautiful woman.

Mersa mentioned something about introducing her to “others.” At first, the tiger girl had no idea what was going on, but it was starting to make sense. Still, who was that stunning lady? And more importantly, what had she eaten to become that devastatingly beautiful?

Mersa immediately threw herself into that woman’s bosom.

[--Marc--: Calla.]

[--Mersa--: Krishna-nee!]

[--Calla--: Greetings, m’lord. Camelia-chan *hug*. And Celina Za *nod*.]

[--Marc--: Za, meet Krishna Ragnarok. Calla, meet Celina Za.]

[--Celina--: Um—hello…]

[--Calla--: You can call me Krishna-nee. We’ll get to know each other well over time.]

[--Celina--: Y-yes!]

Celina could not tear her eyes away from the woman in front of her. All her features were simply sculpted to perfection! A fine nose, small yet refined lips, and long, silky black hair, not to mention her figure was breathtaking.

[--Mersa--: Krishna-nee! What is that?]

The White Angel of War pointed at the enormous golden creature that emerged from the dust cloud and slowly approached them.

[--Calla--: Oh? That’s little Fa. M’lord just awakened him.]

The black-haired lady waved her hands in a strange gesture, and the creature, apparently understanding, sped up and obediently lowered its head to let Mersa pet it as much as she wanted. It had to curry favor with its new mistresses.

[--Mersa--: Woooooow! These scales are so shiny and tough!]

[--Calla--: Hehe, although little Fa is the smallest among Marc’s Sacred Beasts, you cannot underestimate him by his size. I’ll teach you how to ride him later.]

[--Mersa--: Whoa! You can ride him?!]

On the side, Celina was completely dumbstruck by the familiarity between the two. She meekly turned her head toward Marc.

[--Celina--: V-vorst, who is she?]

But before Marc could answer, two more figures appeared out of nowhere.

[--Lily--: Za-chan is finally here, huh.]

The redhead suddenly embraced the tiger girl from behind.

[--Kaya--: Welcome, Za-chan!]

In front of the tiger girl, another pretty lady appeared, smiling warmly at her, while another one was behind her!

Kaya turned her head toward Marc, her gaze becoming even warmer.

[--Kaya--: Shujin-sama should leave this to us. Us girls will have a nice long chat. Lily prepared some really good cookies for tea.]

[--Marc--: Mhm. I’ll leave it to you. Kaya, Lily, Calla, Mersa. I’ll see you later, Za.]

And with that, he departed.

[--Mersa--: Ana-nee! *Hug* Lily-nee! *Hug!*]

Celina Za was once again thoroughly confused.

---

Marc was sitting comfortably inside his private library. The room was quite small, with only a single armchair and a small desk. He was surrounded by shelves packed to the brim with ancient tomes from every angle.

On his lap was a book, gorgeously decorated with gold and silver. On the black leather cover, bizarre runes danced as if alive. Marc absentmindedly caressed them, and certain runes and symbols playfully chased after his fingers.

The former Demon Emperor was troubled by Nova’s case. He realized he had made a mistake somewhere and hurt the blue-haired witch. But where had he gone wrong? He had no idea. However, that was not the most pressing issue. How could he make it up to her?

Bzzzt

An electric charge bit at his fingers. The magical runes showed their disapproval, demanding his full attention. Marc’s green eyes flashed with violet light as he looked down at the symbols, which were definitely getting too full of themselves. As if noticing the black haze forming on the tip of his index finger, the magical inscriptions immediately scattered!

A small chuckle escaped his mouth as he erected a barrier to block them.

Whimper, whimper. The runes appeared extremely pitiful as they gathered on the border of the barrier. The black haze slowly disappeared as he petted them comfortingly.

[--Marc--: Don’t be like that, Mari. I love you as well.]

The magical symbols appeared to grumble but soon eased, becoming playful once more.
